- Hyphenation: “last-minute” should be hyphenated as a compound modifier.
src/content/pages/thank-you.md:68 - Grammar: “Thank” → “Thanks”, and “all round” should be hyphenated as “all-round”.
## Communications & Design 📧
src/content/pages/thank-you.md:78
- Wording/grammar: “Conference runs from …” reads incorrectly; consider rephrasing to a clearer statement about funding and add a comma in the list.
- Mia Bajić
src/content/pages/thank-you.md:138
- Typo: “Bug hugs” → “Big hugs”. Also, “PyLadies Lunch” is typically capitalized as a named event.
- Toomas Ormisson
src/content/pages/thank-you.md:143
- Remove trailing whitespace at end of line (can create unintended Markdown line breaks and causes noisy diffs).
src/content/pages/thank-you.md:155 - Grammar: “the first what you see” should be “the first thing you see”, and the verb should agree with “thing” (singular).
src/content/pages/thank-you.md:179 - Remove trailing whitespace at end of line (can create unintended Markdown line breaks and causes noisy diffs).

Looks awesome! I've left a couple of tiny comments!
I see there are some names that might include special characters. Not sure if we should ask the team to review

I would suggest adding Anezka's surname here too so is clear which person we're talking about. But ofc only if she wants to

- Subject–verb agreement: "finds leads and build teams" should use "builds".
The board finds leads and build teams of volunteers to work in different areas.
src/content/pages/thank-you.md:86
- Grammar: this reads as a typo. "Thank to" should be "Thanks to" (and "all round" is typically hyphenated as "all-round").
Thank to our local superstar for his all round help.
src/content/pages/thank-you.md:160
- Heading capitalization is inconsistent with "PyLadies Poland" and the spelling used later in the paragraph ("PyLadies lunch").
## Pyladies Lunch 🥗

- Typo: "Bug hugs" should be "Big hugs".
Bug hugs to Jodie Burchell for hosting the PyLadies lunch, interview sessions
src/content/pages/thank-you.md:200
- Grammar: "the first what you see" is incorrect phrasing; consider "the first thing you see is".
Once you enter the conference, the first what you see are people in yellow
t-shirts (Pockets of Sunshine ☀️). They're our volunteers, who assist attendees,
chair sessions, and hand out materials.

- Spelling/consistency: this paragraph mixes “Krakow”/“Kraków” and “organizer”/“organiser”, and “organizer and organiser” is redundant. Consider using the site’s common “Kraków” spelling and a single (UK) spelling for “organiser”, while tightening the phrasing.

- This creates a new top-level page (/thank-you). The build’s orphan-page detection in src/pages/[...slug].astro logs a warning for top-level pages that aren’t linked from src/data/nav.ts or the footer (and /thank-you isn’t in the ignore list), so CI/build logs will start warning unless the page is added to navigation or explicitly ignored.

- Many headings in this page include decorative emojis (including the H1). Screen readers often announce emoji names, which can make the page outline noisy and harder to navigate. Consider removing emojis from headings, or render them with HTML so they’re hidden from assistive tech (e.g., wrap the emoji in a …).
# Thank You 🤗
src/content/pages/thank-you.md:96
- This heading is level 3 under “Design”, but “Infrastructure” reads like a top-level team section (consistent with the other team sections in this page). Keeping it as ### will nest it in the TOC under Design, which is likely unintended.

@Sangarshanan @anorthall What do you both think about merging this without photos, and opening a separate PR to add them? Is there anything that would prevent merging this PR already, so we can already say thank you to everyone? |

Yes I have mailed him!
If this looks good to you all i was thinking to once share it on the volunteers channel in case I spelled anyones name wrong, missed any names entirely or even missed using any special characters for name that need them what do y'all think? since I have also mailed the Bartosz for the photos and while we wait we can maybe give people a day or so to give us any corrections or we merge and do changes post hoc? |

- There is already a very similar hidden page at
src/content/pages/_thank-you.mdx(for 2025). Adding a new publicthank-you.mdrisks content duplication/confusion (and leaves an old MDX page around). Consider either removing/archiving the old page (e.g. rename tothank-you-2025.md) or explicitly keeping it with a clear purpose.
